As we start to prepare for Florida, I know all the kids need new shoes. Man! The rate at which children grow out of clothes and shoes is unbelievable. However, Harv was up first as he needs some decent tennis shoes and sandals as the weather starts to change. Winter boots are no long necessary. Woot woot!
Knowing I wanted something stylish, but also safe for growing feet and good support, I opted for a brand I trust: Stride Rite. (not sponsored, just love them!) Although I was hesitant to buy online, which was confirmed (read more below)… these ended up working out great and Harv loves wearing them!
The other pair I bought were sandals from Osh Gosh, which I loved but the sizing chart was a little off and they were too big, ok way too big.. Luckily we have Amazon Prime so we have free returns, which was super easy! Never used that feature before, but I printed the slip, taped it on the bag, resealed the bag, Caleb dropped off at UPS and bam! Within minutes we had a refund. Awesome.
I then bought the same sandals in a smaller size and they fit great. AND… again Harv loves his new “shus”. He even had to wear them for his nap! Kids.

I’m always hunting for new kitchen ideas. We know, at some point, we will be doing a full remodel of the kitchen and with this awkward spot above our peninsula part of our counter, I want open shelving on the upper cabinets. I don’t care how trendy or how unpractical. I love it and I want it! Lately, whenever I buy new kitchen things I honestly think to myself how well it will display.
A few weeks ago, the third to last cup in our original set of 12 daily drinking glasses broke. With 5 people in the family, 2 cups just doesn’t work. Do the math. Someone’s missing out. I set out to find new glasses and was thrilled when I found these super cute honeycomb style glassware. Plus there was 16 glasses, both large and small in the set, for only $16! HomeGoods for the win!

Grandma is in town! Caleb’s Mom and Step Dad moved to Florida just about a year ago now. Lucky for us, she decided to visit for the week! We had the chance to spend a few days with her and will spend Easter and Monday as well! This pic melts my heart. I love being a #boymom. Being a #boygrandma must be pretty awesome too though ♥

My Dad’s Birthday is tomorrow and with so many rotating schedules, we all got together for an extremely fast party for him yesterday! Quick dinner, a not so good caramel cake, a few presents, and lots of chaos! Happy Birthday Dad, we love you! Have a wonderful day tomorrow!
I hope your Easter, if you celebrate, is full of love and blessings, and lots of delicious candy. How do you celebrate?! I love hearing others traditions! If you don’t celebrate, what plans do you have? Do you get a long weekend? Not me, I have to work today and Monday.
In case you missed it!
Here’s what I hit publish on this week:
- Monday, I chatted over coffee. It’s been a rough season for us and I poured a little (just a little) of my heart out.
- Wednesday, the kiddos had a chance to speak their minds with the Kids Behind the Blog post for the month.
